From the New Member Director...
hiii! my name is ysabelle saenz and i am the spring 2024 new member director also known as pmom! i couldn’t be more excited to hold this position and meet my future kiddos! to tell you a little bit about me, i crossed fall 2021 and i am a current senior majoring in university studies - society, ethics, & law with minors in business and philosophy. in my free time i love to travel, try new things, sleep, shop, and be around friends! for my last semester at tamu, i couldn’t be more excited and honored to be this semesters pmom to show others all that this sisterhood has to offer and how it has impacted my life. if you are looking for life long friendships and endless memories come be my kiddo! ʕっ￫ᴥ￩ʔっ

What is "rushing"?
Rushing means attending our social events throughout rush week. No need to commit, just come out and get to know our sisters and connect with new people!
When is rush week?
Rush week happens after the first week of school starts. Rush week for the Fall 2024 semester is from August 26-30.
How much does it cost to rush?
All the events we host during rush week are free of cost & rides will be provided!
What is a bid? How do I get one?
A bid is an invitation to join our everlasting sisterhood. To qualify for a bid, you must attend at least 2 rush events, complete an application and an interview.
How will I balance my school work & the sorority?
Sigma Phi Omega values academic excellence and prioritizes each of our sisters' education. You will also have us to provide you with any assistance on your classes. We offer multiple resources to assist you on your homework and exams. Joining a sorority requires time management, but you won't be alone as long as your sisters are with you!
What are benefits can I gain from joining Sigmas?
Joining Sigma Phi Omega will provide you a variety of benefits within your time in college and onwards. Not only will you discover a lifelong sisterhood, but it will also allow you to develop leadership, social, learning and networking skills.
